I was just telling Masha that I read an article a year or so go that was talking about the dollar falling because of the high oil prices (oil priced in dollars -> rise in dollar supply -> dollar price falls). It seems they have been right: the oil fell, the dollar is rising. Although, of course, it just might be the case that people like the States' chances in this crisis better than those of Europe.

I remember buying gas on February of 2007 somewhere near Wakefield, MA for $2.07 per gallon.
