I'm curious - if the people were living there, why the insistence on calling them "settlers"? Why not "residents"? With all our discussion about words used in the media, why do we not make a fuss about this? The two words create radically different images, and I think the world might look differently if just once it were reported that "Jewish residents were evicted from their homes".

Because they believe it's the right place to be.
