Nevertheless, this is a great country. I believe it will live to regret the choice it made yesterday - but the point is that it will live.

aphar is right and this will shut up (or at least greatly slow down) the race-mongers like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
This also ought to finish off McCain's presidential aspirations.
And maybe - just maybe - this will force the Republicans to find their lost bearings and pull off something like the Contract With America again.

Israel might become more independent.
If Obama turns US into Europe by giving refugee status to Israeli Arabs there will be less of them in Israel.
Obama may become second Carter and after Carter there was quite a backlash…
