Remote Listening

Дано: два компьютера на Этернет-сети. У одного - микрофон, у другого - динамики. На обоих стоит Винда ХР Про. Можно ли звук с одного компьютера слушать на другом без закупки специальных программ? Remote Desktop поможет?

There are two PCs on the corporate LAN, running Windows XP Pro. One has a microphone, the other has speakers. Is it possible to listen to the sound picked up by the former PC on the latter's speakers, without buying specialized software? Can Remote Desktop help?

I assume you mean in real time. I'm told that Remote Desktop can transmit sound, but I've never pursued it enough to try to make it work. Other than that, on a Windows machine the devices seem walled off enough to make it very difficult.

Are you looking to do this without the microphone PC user's knowledge?

No, this is simply an attempt to amplify the sound of what's happening in a meeting room to a part of the audience in the adjoining room. (The size of the room and the large corral of chairs prevents stringing a wired mike there, but a laptop with a mike can be placed on a windowsill.) No spying intended.

Это-то я понимаю, просто не нашёл пока. Есть полдюжины коммерческих программ, продаваемых или как метод слежения за работниками, или как "превратите свой ПК в систему слежения за Вашим домом".
