For example, the "angels" might sound weird here: http://www.divrei.org/new_page_37.htm, but "functions, or laws of nature" seem ok.

But if you let the speaker know, you would give him a chance to think of other ways to address the issue.

No wonder they believe Rebbe MH"M is alive and well, but not visible right now ;-) If there are angels everywhere, then why rebbe can't be actually alive ?

Because word "alive" has certain meaning here on Earth, thus Rebe could be alive in some other sense, but not in this one. But there is no dogma about "angels" so their could be more than one interpretation.

If they could they would embalm Rebbe and keep Him on display in 770.

don't stereotype, there are plenty of normal people in Chabad and they stand strong.

It is hard to talk without examples, but you are not suppose to resonate on every possible spark. For example, there is entire scale between Ramban and Rambam so everyone fits somewhere (and each of 12 tribes served somewhat differently). It would be very boring if we all were the same. Yet, if you press this Rabbi further, he might give you something to hang on. There were questions that bothered me for 15 years, but eventually someone could come up with explanations that made sense to me.
